Attendance Matters! Our whole school target is 97% so please be in everyday.

Welcome to RRH

Mrs Hynes & Miss Oliver

We hope you had a fantastic summer and are ready to learn lots of new things this year! In Reception we follow the EYFS curriculum (Early Years Foundation Stage) and we provide children with the opportunity to learn through a play based curriculum. Children are able to explore indoors and outdoors to develop their learning which is supported by our Reception team.

We have lots of exciting things planned for the year ahead. We look forward to getting to know your child and helping them to enjoy their first year at Blueberry Park.

School starts 8:45, (calm start) Registration 9:00am, school finishes 3:15pm. In order to keep everyone safe, please stand back from the doors at drop off and pick up times.

Reading

We encourage children to read as much as they can independently, with an adult and as a class. All children should have a reading for pleasure book to start with which are to be read together with an adult. Reading books will go on a Friday and are to be returned Wednesday morning to school. Each day we will post a link to the sound your child has read that day and on a Friday a small green Set 1 sounds book will be sent home for you to practice the sounds that we have learnt that week.

PE

PE is on a Wednesday. PE days may change each term. Children should come to school in their PE kits on these days.

Homework

Homework folders will be sent out on a Friday and will be collected in on a Wednesday.
