What a fabulous start we have had to year 5!

It has been wonderful to see the children entering school everyday with a smile on their faces, eager to learn. They are working as hard as they can and enjoying getting to know their new teachers. We can't wait to see what the year brings!

School starts at 8:45 (calm start), registration 9:00 am, school finishes at 3:15pm. In order to keep everyone safe, please stand back from the doors at drop off and pick up times

Reading

We encourage children to read as much as they can independently, with an adult and as a class. All children shoould have a home/school reading book and a reading for pleasure book. Reading books will go home every night and are to be returned every morning to school. Please write a comment in the reading record praising how well your child has read.

PE

PE is on a Monday and Friday. Children should come to school wearing their PE kits (Blue shorts, white tshirts, navy school jogging bottoms and hoodie). If incorrect kits is worn, children will be used PE kit from lost property and a note will be sent home regarding this.  

Homework

Homework will be posted on Class Dojo on a Friday and is to be returned/uploaded to Class Dojo by the following Friday. Children will be tested on the times tables and spellings sent out, so please make sure they are being practised daily.
